Who Are We?

 
Matthew Brewer, ROHT - Owner
 
In 1995, Matthew Brewer began work in the environmental field conducting asbestos air sampling and bulk sample collection.

Since that date, he has been responsible for air monitoring, inspections and reporting related to the occupational hygiene field. Using his thorough expertise, he has assessed many industrial situations, performed air and bulk testing and recommended viable solutions based on the findings of the sampling.


He has been involved in various projects including asbestos and lead abatement, indoor air quality, moisture / mould assessments, and particulate/dust sampling, PCB’s and noise assessments throughout Atlantic Canada.


He has completed numerous assessments for hazardous materials in the industrial and commercial sector including phase I assessments. He has worked as a lead hazardous material specialist in the Arctic, using his knowledge in identifying and controlling hazardous materials.


Matthew has travelled extensively around Atlantic Canada, providing comprehensive training for workers and workplace staff on topics such as:


  • asbestos awareness / abatement
  • mould awareness / abatement
  • lead awareness / abatement
  • hazardous material identification and sampling
  • infection control in healthcare industries during construction
  • care and use of respirators
  • hazardous material spill response

Some of the groups trained have included the construction industry, hospital staff, abatement crews, Department of National Defence, Provincial government staff, and Department of Labour and Advanced Education (NS).


Mr. Brewer is a Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologist, and has memberships with the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), both the National and Atlantic Provinces Chapters.
